First days with children
Well, I have just completed my second day with children in my classroom at Siskin Early Learning Center, and I just think it's totally cool and gross and entertaining and awesome and a new level of disgusting all the time. I like it. That is all.

I got a job!
So- I've been stressing out for a little while about what I'm going to "do with my life"...and frankly I still don't know for sure, but I did get a job for now, which is cool. I applied at a place called Siskin Early Learning Institute (it's a pre-school for kids with developmental disabilities, as well as typically developing children), and the job I applied for was a classroom assistant. I figured that I could gain some experience there and then use that to get a better job later. They called me back last week and asked if I would consider taking a lead-teacher position. Long story short- I'm going to be a lead-teacher in a classroom full of 2 year olds. :o) I think it will be cool...and now I have to practice changing diapers b/c I've never had to really do that a lot before. Also- I found this funny picture on the internet while searching for diaper-changing "how-to's"...

I had a 26th birthday
Well, my birthday was June 3rd, on which I turned 26. That's cool I guess, but the coolest thing was I got to hang out with/talk to almost everyone that I like/love. I also got some cool presents including money and these things:

Also- I have two interviews this week. Tuesday, for a pre-k classroom at a hospital type place and Wednesday for a non-profit or foundation or something that works with Hamilton County school system.

Veggie Co-op
So...Reeve and I have been taking part in our friends' organic vegetable co-op. It has been pretty cool so far- I've been cooking a lot of stuff that I wouldn't have tried otherwise. I've enjoyed trying to incorporate greens in EVERYTHING, but one veggie has won my heart. I want to put it's portrait on a shirt, or paint it....or both. The winner is....
Kohlrabi!! (I think it's because it looks like a little head with leaf-hair)
